REMEMBRANCE DAY (CANADIAN WAR HERO): open the assignment in Google Classroom. Once you have selected a Canadian Was Hero, please connect with me before beginning your research. Class time will be provided each day; some home time may be needed.
What is a biography?
NOTE: Step 1 to 3 is due Monday November 16th. Step 4 is due Friday November 19th.
Step 1:
Record the name of a Canadian Heroes that you would like to study and learn more about.
Consider the following timeline when looking up different Canadian Heros (both men and women)
* 1850-1900
* 1900-1950
* 1950-2000
* 2000-2015
Step 2:
Generate jot notes on your Canadian War Hero which you will use to write a snapshot biography on your selected military hero.

Step 3:* Guiding research ideas
1. Birth, Death
2. Major life events
3. Major/significant event that took place in their military life
Step 4:
Once you have finalized your research consider the following and answer
1. Why do you think he/she is a war hero?
2. Describe the contribution(s) he/she made to Canada.
Both in-class and at-home time is needed effectively to complete your snapshot biography.
Students will be using Timetoast to highlight the journey & accomplishments of the Canadian War Hero.
