Yesterday:  Students were true ambassadors of McMurrich while we were guests at the Yorkdale Apple store.  They respectfully and purposefully collaborated in partners using iMovie to create a PSA on a local/global issue that concerns them & how they want to bring about change in our communities.  Thank you to our parent volunteers, we couldn't have been successful today without your support.

 MATH: Measurement: looking at time & timezones over the next few days; as well as introduction to perimeter & area of parallelograms & triangles over the next few weeks.
Visit the Measurement Blog and begin to share strategies on how to solve the math challenge.

Action Plan (PSA): Students received oral peer feedback on their group PSA first cut projects. Students will be designing a poster to accompany their PSA footage. Video editing and poster design will be our in-class focus for the next few weeks.

LANGUAGE: students have received oral peer feedback on their Canadian War Hero timetoast project. Be sure to make changes based on the feedback, them copy/paste link & embed code into your google doc DUE Friday November 27th

LANGUAGE: in-class ONLY, students are working collaboratively in groups to read a text, complete a graphic organizer and co-write a summary paragraph

Global Read Aloud: we will be focussing on developing character traits on the main characters from the book in preparation for a Book Trailer / Poster project coming soon.
Don't forget to include your final reflections on the book in Kidblog.

 The "ONE": make a recommendation for a role model that we would honour as a class by creating a collage in padlet.
