HEALTH: Students have been assigned to small groups to research a focus area in Healthy Eating.  Follow the "Big Idea" and generate 2-3 inquiry questions to research on the topic. Tonight look for 2 potential websites. You will be given a few days to collaborate online.  Next week, students will be provided a copy of their online work to them independently design an informative poster. (The poster will be presented to the class later in the week)

POETRY: Animal Journey: Refer to your Peer Feedback; make changes on your first draft based on the feedback. Then copy/paste on to 2nd draft google doc.
Open assignment in Google Classroom Postponed: DUE Friday January 22nd

MATH: Data Management: Bowling Project- Students have received peer feedback on one of the Graph designs and analysis, using this feedback to make changes & bump up your writing

SOCIAL STUDIES:  Canadian Communities Wiki groups generated 2-3 inquiry questions; tonight look for 2 potential websites (for research notes tomorrow) 


SCIENCE: Capstone eBooks on electricity; visit Energy Quest for various forms of energy
Electricity Unit. REFER to the Big Idea questions Grade 6 OUTLINE; class time provided and at-home will be useful to support group members. Impact Groups compare & contrast forms of electricity and discuss human usage impact on the environment

* Extended French Forms were sent home before the holidays.  The due date is the end of the month. Please submit to the office as they are date-stamped.
** Over the next few weeks, flyers will be sent home from various middle schools as your child will transition from Grade 6 to Grade 7.  It is important that your child share this information with you so that you have the opportunity to visit schools, attend information nights and connect with the school that will best support your child's continued learning.
