MATH:  Looking at Subtracting Fractions (common denominator; lowest common multiple) using number lines and diagrams

DRAMA: Shadow Performances:  Create shadow images along the wall using your body (movement or tableau) to convey a message.

SCIENCE: students are looking at how tree classifications systems organize information; focussing on Diversity of Living Things over the next few weeks in class
* collect leaves within our school community: we will be creating a 'tree classification system' in class later this week

Global Read Aloud: We have completed our first week participating in the Global Read Aloud! We are reading Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt, having read 8 chapters this week.  Today students were introduced to creating their own post in Kidblog, reflecting on the book thus far.
